Process of Making SS 304 Dimpled Sheet
A flat 304 sheet is passed through a hydraulic press or specialized rollers to create the recessed pattern.The dimple sheet is "plug welded" or resistance welded to a thicker base plate or tank wall. In "inflated" dimple jackets, two sheets are spot-welded together and then expanded using high-pressure hydraulics to create a flow cavity.The sheet is usually supplied with a 2B (Cold Rolled) or No. 4 (Polished) finish.

Chemical Composition of SS 304 Dimpled Sheet: Typically 18% Chromium and 8% Nickel. It contains a maximum of 0.08% Carbon.
