Process of Making/ Manufacturing of SS 304 Flat Bar

1. The steel is heated above its recrystallization temperature and passed through rollers to achieve the rectangular shape.

2. The hot-rolled bar is pulled through a die at room temperature for tighter tolerances and a smoother finish.

3. Heat treatment to relieve internal stresses and restore ductility.

4. An acid bath removes scale and reinforces the protective chromium-oxide surface layer.
