Process of making / Manufacturing Stainless steel bolts.

1)Wire is fed into a header that "upsets" the metal to form the bolt head at room temperature.

2)The shank is rolled between two dies to press the threads in. This work-hardens the material, making threads stronger than those that are cut.

3)A critical chemical bath in nitric or citric acid to remove surface iron and maximize the protective oxide layer
